What Is the STAR Method?

Behavioral interview questions ask you to describe a real past experience — things like "Tell me about a time you handled a conflict" or "Describe a problem you solved at work." Employers use these to predict how you will act in the future based on what you have done before.

The STAR method gives your answer a clear structure so it is easy to follow and complete. A well-structured answer shows confidence, self-awareness, and professionalism — even if you are nervous or new to interviewing.
