Carey serves as an Employment Mentor with Expert Vocational Insights (EVI), bringing more than 30 years of experience in education, counseling, transition planning, advocacy, and individualized support. Carey has direct vocational rehabilitation experience supporting individuals with disabilities and their families as they navigate the transition into employment, vocational training, and post-secondary opportunities. Her professional background includes roles as a guidance counselor, teacher, gifted case manager, advisor, technology specialist, and coach, providing her with extensive experience identifying individual strengths, developing personalized strategies, addressing barriers, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams. As an Employment Mentor at EVI, Carey uses her diverse experience to help individuals explore career opportunities, develop workplace skills, navigate employment barriers, and build greater independence and confidence as they work toward meaningful and sustainable employment.
